Glossar: bei der "flagship" congregation handelt es sich um eine aus mehreren Gemeinden zusammengefuehrte Gemeinde.

Positiv kann man sehen, dass es moeglich ist, auf eigenen Wunsch "etwas kuerzer zu treten" (meine Worte):

Due to personal events following the recent death of his father, Bishop James Fendt has asked for time off from his ministerial responsibilities. Following discussion with the Chief Apostle and Apostle Hammer, it has been decided to grant him a sabbatical leave. This will become effective October 30th. The areas of NJ, SNJ and VA will continue to be cared for by Apostle Hammer.

We kindly ask you to respect this decision and allow him and his family time and privacy over this interim for the emotional healing to take place.

Whoa...sorry, folks, false alarm.

The area sheeple wrote an article outlining the usual behavior and activities tolerated in the NAC; everything is found: bible study, prayer, group support, making cards, blankets, hygiene packs, mittens, gloves, scarves as well as outreach in their communities. "...they really enjoy learning more about our amazing God and His wonderful Son while growing in their love and appreciation for them." "This is their greatest joy and highest priority!"

It's all good (that part is true) until it bumps into the godly ceiling for the sisters.

I wonder if these sisters will ever have a calling by the Spirit that will prevail over the objections of the church men. I mean, what's to stop them from claiming a priesthood or an apostleship based on a holy calling? Just like it's happened before? A lack of courage? A lack of enlightenment?

Eine ungewollt komische maschinelle Uebersetzung ins Englische moechte ich den Lesern nicht vorenthalten. Aus dem ueber den Gottesdienst von JLS am 2013-02-05:

Am Sonntag versammelte sich eine große Festgemeinde in der Kirche in Saarbrücken.

Englische Uebersetzung: "On Sunday, a large hard congregation gathered in the church in Saarbrucken."

Kommentar aus den USA: "They must be quite "excited" about their future Chief Apostle paying them a visit! YIKES! "

Da werden auch einmal aus "Vertretern einer Sekte" im Englischen "sparkling wine representatives", und die Apostel Sound und Land Count darf sich der geneigte Leser gerne zurueck ins Deutsche uebersetzen.

The Articles of Faith do not support the NAC leadership's fork-tongued claims that there are other "possibilities".... fork-tongued claims that are only intended to appease the Christian community's critics and the NAC fence-sitters who object to the NAC's exclusive doctrine.

Kann jemand den augenblicklichen Stand zur Verteilung des Werks kommentieren?

Bei der offiziellen Einführung Anfang Dezember 2012 haben alle Amts- und Funktionsträger sowie Lehrer unserer Gemeinde ein Exemplar ausgehändigt bekommen. Ich denke, dass dies zumindest deutschlandweit genauso gehandhabt wurde.

Was die ausbleibende Resonanz anbetrifft: Durch die vielen sich gegenseitig widersprechenden Aussagen des Katechismus hat die Kirchenleitung erreicht, dass sich niemand mehr darüber unterhalten will - denn es lassen sich ja (aus dem Katechismus) in vielen Fällen nicht nur die eigenen Argumente, sondern auch div. entgegengesetzte Positionen belegen. Dort, wo eindeutige Aussagen getroffen wurden, war dies schon vorher kommuniziert (und ausreichend besprochen) worden, weswegen kein weiterer Diskussionsbedarf mehr besteht. Ein weiterer Punkt dürfte sein, dass der Katechismus mit unglaublich viel Füllmaterial angereichert wurde, was natürlich manche Leser eher abschrecken wird - auch das dürfte ja durchaus im Interesse der Kirchenleitung sein.

Just spending a few minutes with it I wasn't impressed at all. There's chapters and chapters of window dressing (retelling the bible) and the salient points we bring out here all the time are relegated to paragraphs only. You will find no further explanations, in fact, less explanation than what has previously been given on the NAKI web site on controversial topics (ie. departed, Holy Spirit, self identity etc). There are also gross biblical errors, not with interpretation, I mean real errors about what a certain parables say. They also make continued quantum leaps in interpretation with no further substantiation than the pablum of the past.

They had a real opportunity and blew it. Again as BatP told me on another thread; "why are you surprised?"

Wer sucht, der findet. Google "new apostolic catechism site:nac-philippines.org". Es fehlt nur die deutsche Uebersetzung Aber es ist ungemein freundlich, den Katechismus den Mitgliedern in manchen Laendern auch ohne Bezahlung anzubieten.

Anscheinend sind manche Weltanschauungsbeauftragte mit weniger zufrieden als HelpMeFindTheTruth.

Ganz umsonst war die Veroeffentlichung wohl nicht. Kostenlos ist das PDF-Angebot natuerlich auch nicht. Was kostet ein Paket Druckerpapier? Weniger als 19.90 Euro sind es allemal, die Tinte natuerlich nicht gerechnet.
